Heartland captain and defensive midfielder, Julius Ubido has predicted a difficult match against ambitious neighbours, Go Round FC.

The Naze Millionaires are hosts of the Omoku based side in Wednesday’s Nigeria National League (NNL) matchday 30 clash at the Dan Anyiam Stadium in Owerri.

Ubido said however that his side have done their homework perfectly well to ensure victory in the expected tight contest between the Southern conference table topping sides.

“The clash against Go Round FC is certain going to be tough, it’s almost a derby and table toppers clash.

“Go Round FC are not a bad side, at least, for the side to be on the second spot on the league log is enough evidence that they are good side.

“Of course, we understand quite well that there are no pushovers in the Nigeria National League (NNL).

“We will accord the opponents due respect on and off the pitch but do not have any reason to fear them.

“We have done our homework quite well aimed at coming out victorious in the clash on Wednesday.

“The mood among my teammates is quite infectious as everyone is gearing up to participate actively in the clash.

“We know quite well that a win in the clash would have cemented our promotion to the elite making subsequent matches almost a jamboree and pleasurable.

“The match is crucial to our promotion and we are damn ready to give it our very best performance.

“We cannot afford to joke with the game against Go Round FC as our next match will be away to Gateway United in Abeokuta,” said the former Lobi Stars midfield maestro to supersport.com.

Heartland are at the summit of the 18-team NNL Southern conference league log on 59 points eight above closest challengers and opponents, Go Round FC.
